The Holy Bass Foundation
Our Story
The Holy Bass Foundation emerged from conversations with countless HB alumni, many of whom grieved the loss of the Cadets, but wanted to continue to give back to an activity that gave them so much. We decided that supporting excellence in bass drumming was a great way to do this. With the increasingly astronomical costs of drum corps, we wanted to support the next generation of bass drummers.

Noah Cole
Founder and President
Noah is a PhD candidate in medieval history at Florida State University. He teaches ancient, medieval, and early US history.
He marched Holy Bass in 2017. He has been part of drum corps since his ageout. He taught Academy from 2018-2022, Crossmen in 2023, Academy in 2024, and Mandarins in 2025.
He taught Holy Bass in 2023.
He is currently working at Academy and teaches Infinity.
Kelsey Brunson
Director
Kelsey is an music educator and program administrator based in Atlanta, GA. She marched CPit from 2010-2012. She was Corps Manager for the Cadets’ 2023 season and is currently Tour Director for the Academy Drum Corps in Tempe, AZ.
She currently serves as the Administrative Operations Coordinator for the Georgia Tech School of Music in Atlanta, GA and is an MBA candidate at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business where she is pursuing concentrations in Non-Profit Leadership and Operational Sustainability.
Travis Peterman
Director
Travis is a marching percussion designer, educator, and administrator based in the Mid-Atlantic. Between 2012 and 2023 he was involved with various Cadets ensembles including Cadets2, Cadets Winter Percussion, and The Cadets.
Currently, Travis is the Program Director and Battery Designer for the George Mason University Indoor Drumline, as well as the Percussion Caption Head and Battery Arranger for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps and the Battery Arranger for the Reading Buccaneers.
